These products were sent to me for review from Paula’s Choice and Pretty In My Pocket. This post contains affilate links.
When it comes to skincare you generally, cleanse, tone, exfoliate, treat, moisturize, and protect. Some steps are every day while others are as needed, but they all work together to hopefully give you the results you want. This is what you get with Paula’s Choice.
Paula’s Choice takes the guesswork out figuring out your regimen because they’ve already put what works well together in a kit for your skintype. You can even get a a FREE personal skincare consultation by calling 1-800-831-4088. Non-irritating and fragrance free, Paula’s Choice keeps you on track because who wants to use something every day if hurts to use it?
Because I have oily skin I received the Skin Balancing Essential Kit. The Essential Kit consists of a cleanser, exfoliant, day moisturizer with spf, and a night moisturizer. Along with the kit I also received products to treat dark marks and skin dullness.
PRODUCT BREAKDOWN
Skin Balancing Oil-Reducing Cleanser – This product produces as light lather as stated on the bottle. A nickel to quarter size amount seemed to get the job done as far as cleansing a bare face is concerned. I was unable to test how well it cleansed makeup. It was very creamy, had zero smell and didn’t leave my skin dry or tight.
Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid – This product is for all skin types. When I really want to exfoliate my flaky patch of skin between my eyebrows I usually reach for my cleansing brush. This product kept that flaky area at bay and left behind a noticeable radiance.
Skin Balancing Ultra Sheer Daily Defense SPF 30 – This moisturizer with SPF left behind a matte finish, however, it took some time to absorb into my dark skin. I was worried that this would leave behind a gray cast but it didn’t. It had a thin consistency.
Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel – A slightly opaque whitish gel. It moisturizes the skin and I didn’t wake up looking like a greaseball after using it the night before.
Resist 1% Retinol Booster, Resist C15 Super Booster, Resist Pure Radiance Skin Brightening Treatment – I combined these products together and my skin felt and looked supple after using them. There was no irritation. I did not use these products long enough to notice any dark mark improvement.
MY FINAL TAKE
These products and the Paula’s Choice brand are good money to me. With countless individual skincare products that cost $50+ you can get a whole regimen for $85. With a 60 day 100% Money Back Guarantee these products work together to get you on the path to putting your best skin forward. Even though this product was sent to me I would purchase it on my own after using it.
